Thank you to all who made yesterday happen! From the BBQ and Dessert preparations, to Picket Cheque Hand out, the BBQ set up/clean up, to parking and people marshaling it really was a fantastic effort by all!
It was great to have so many supporters out from other Teamsters Locals, CUPW, Vancouver Elementary School Teachers Association and other Unions and of course, friends and family. Listening to the encouraging words of Jim Sinclair, BC Federation of Labour President, Don Davies, Vancouver Kingsway MP, Libby Davies, Vancouver East MP and Walter Canta, Teamsters 213 Secretary Treasurer really highlights the magnitude of what we are dealing with in these negotiations and the tactics that IKEA is willing to impose. It is clear we are not alone in this struggle.
