Unions across the country are launching an all-out effort to stop Bill C-377.
See the video
The bill will severely and negatively affect labour unions because:
1) it will greatly increase the time, effort and expense to labour unions, their officers and employees to
comply with the onerous regulations, and
2) the information gleaned from the investigations of union officials and staff will enable anti-union
forces intent on discrediting and weakening unions’ ability to organize and service their membership.
Every labour organization and all unions would have to disclose detailed financial information, salaries,
supplier contracts, loans, accounts receivables, investments, spending on organizing, collective
bargaining, education, training, lobbying, and all political activities.
The information would be made public on a Canada Revenue Agency web site.
Here’s how to join the campaign to stop this bill.
